Lien Khuong Airport (DLI) is about 30 km south of Dalat, with domestic flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang. Flying from HCMC takes about 50 minutes versus a full night on the bus — worth it if your time is tight.
From the airport, an airport shuttle bus runs to the city centre for a small fare, or a taxi/Grab takes 30–40 minutes. The road down is a smooth expressway, so it's an easy transfer.
Is there a train?
No — there's no mainline train to Dalat. The historic Dalat–Trai Mat railway only runs a short heritage ride to a nearby village for tourists (worth doing once you're here, but not a way to arrive). So it's bus or plane.
